Sin City

I finally got to see Sin City the other day. I had high hopes for it, and I wasn’t disappointed. The only thing I have to say I didn’t like was that it felt like the guest director Quentin Tarantino had gotten a little too much influence in the fightingscens, not that I don’t like him as a director or his fightscenes usually but I got enough of his kind of bloodsplatter in Kill Bill.

I have always had a thing for Bruce Willis (yes he’s old enough to my dad, so what?) and I think everyone who knows me a little know I definitely have a thing for Jessica Alba and the two together? Oh, my…

Elijah Wood creeped me out, Rosario Dawson wow, it’s gonna be so different seing her in RENT come February! I love Alexis Bledel in Gilmore Girls, but I did worry about how she’d do on the big screen, but I think she pulled it off! I have too say I liked the casting all through apart from one. Brittany Murphy. I usually like her, but this just wasn’t her thing in my eyes. I know this is an overplayed movie, but she went too far and it felt ONLY overplayed. One thing is the fact that there was that so many A-list actors and actresses in it and some of them got very little screentime, like Josh Hartnett, he’s not one of my favourite but I think he’s up there in the A-crowd and he only had two scens. They really must have loved the Sin City novels or they all must have really, really wanted to work with Frank Miller, Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino. I know there is a sequel coming next year and I’m definitely looking forward to it! But I think I’ll miss Bruce… alot.
